UCRC: A Chinese delegation visits the laboratories

A delegation from the TIANJIN Professional Higher School of Medicine and the TIANJIN Hongxing Professional Secondary School in China visited the UCRC laboratories on thursday, December 19, 2019. The visit, led by Dr. Bassirou Diarra, chief of the UCRC BSL-3 and Mr. Cheick Oumar TANGARA, UCRC Program manager aimed to inquire about the activities carried out by the laboratories, with a view to promoting access to healthcare in Mali and the sub-region.

This delegation was in Bamako, for the official inauguration of the traditional Chinese medicine center, called “Atelier Luban du Mali” inaugurated on friday, December 20, 2019, at the Kabala University Center. This workshop is the result of the cooperation agreement signed on October 15, 2019 between the Universities of Sciences, Techniques and Technologies of Bamako (USTTB) and Letters and Human Sciences of Bamako (ULSHB) and the Higher Professional School of Medicine of TIANJIN, the Hongxing Professional Secondary School of TIANJIN in China.

It constitutes an international cooperation project in the field of vocational training supported by the Chinese municipality of TIANJIN. Built on a 600 m2 space at the Kabala university center, this project aims to improve the academic training of the best technical talents and to support the economy of local society through professional training. It is a win-win program that will benefit Mali as a whole and even the entire West African population.
