University Diploma of Retrovirology: The 3rd promotion is out!

They are 19 students of the 3rd promotion of the University Diploma of Retrovirology, who received their diplomas on Saturday, September 28, 2019. It was during an official closing ceremony, held at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (FMOS), in the presence of Dean Professor Seydou Doumbia, UCRC Director.

This training, which lasted approximately 1 month, from September 2 to 28, 2019, was organized by the University of Sciences, Techniques and Technologies of Bamako (USTTB) through the University Clinical Research Center laboratories (UCRC-Lab) , the International Center for Excellence in Research (ICER) of the USTTB / NIAID and the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (FMOS). It was also in partnership with the West African Network for Tuberculosis, AIDS and Malaria (WANETAM).

Aimed at students enrolled in the Clinical Biology DES, Biology Technicians, Hospital Interns, Physicians, Pharmacists and other equivalent diplomas, the 3rd Edition of the University Diploma in Retrovirology had as educational purposes: Introduction to Retrovirology, Epidemiology HIV, Virologic diagnosis of HIV in adults and children, Treatment of HIV infection (New WHO Recommendation), Biological monitoring (viral load and resistance testing) and management of patients on antiretroviral therapy, etc.
