Autobiography- Fatoumata Amadou Camara, trainee

Fatoumata Amadou Camara is a young Microbiologist by training and trainee at the laboratory of molecular and cellular biology of the research and training center on HIV / AIDS and SEREFO tuberculosis from the University Clinical Research Center (UCRC) located at Point G. After a BSc in Biology at Soundjata Keïta High School in 2013, she continued her studies graduate studies at the University of Blida. There, it will follow a common core training program in the science of life and earth.

After 2 years of common core, she was oriented towards Microbiology specialty in which she obtained her degree in 2016. During the same year, she had her first experience as a trainee at the National Institute for Public Health Research “INRSP” in Bamako.

After obtaining a degree in Microbiology and at the end of her internship, she decided to continue her studies in Master in the Applied Microbiology program at Annaba University, still in Algeria. Being a motivated person who likes to learn and improve, she took advantage of her holidays in 2017 to do a 3 month internship, this time at the SEREFO / UCRC molecular biology lab.

To end her master’s program and obtain her diploma, she supports in 2018 with the mention very well, a thesis on the topic entitled: Antibacterial activity of two series of derivatives sulphonamides on Gram-positive and Gram-negative strains. This last year of Master’s degree was very rewarding because of his practical and theoretical experiences.

Fatoumata is passionate and curious about science, which intends to seize all the opportunities that will be offered to her to learn more and innovate in this field. She also has a great interest in humanitarian activities to help the needy, hence the many volunteer work she has done. She loves travel and cinema.
